- My Story Is
We represent a Queensland fruit company.
The Government of Queensland has granted this company exclusive commercialization rights on one of their global patents.
This patent covers the right to grow a special kind tree that produces fruit.
The fruit delivers a daily dose of anti-oxidants designed to combat diseases such as metabolic syndrome, impaired cognitive function and heart disease.
A license application to export the fruit to China from Australia has been submitted to the government and is awaiting approval.
The company earns revenue from three primary sources:
· Licensing trees to farmers – more than 100, 000 trees in Australia
· Selling fruit to supermarkets and other commercial consumers
· Growing fruit trees that produce fruitRevenue is currently A$X. By 2020, revenue is projected to reach A$34 million.
In FY2015, the company sold around 700 tons of fruit in Australia, UK and Asia.
USA, South Africa and Europe are growing licensed trees in evaluation sites.
The company is seeking new relationships to implement its growth strategy.
The ideal new relationship would lead to both trading and investment capital starting with A$3 million and increasing to A$10 million over the next three to five years.
