David Morris is an International diplomat, currently based in China representing the Pacific Islands Forum, and a previous Australian diplomat and senior policy adviser to the Tasmanian and New South Wales (NSW) Governments on agriculture, economic development, trade, investment, tourism and other fields.
He is also the Pacific Islands Forum representative on the Sustainable Business Network of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP), a member of the Editorial Committee for the annual Blue Book on Oceania published by Sun Yat Sen University; Honorary Associate, Graduate School of Government, University of Sydney; and Member, Friends of Hungary Foundation.
David established the China Studies Centre at the University of Sydney, including the groundbreaking annual “Demystifying Chinese Investment” report and the annual Sydney China Business Forum, as well as previously managing the Guangdong Sister State relationship for the NSW Government.
